Every year we strive to make the season brighter for Kitchen Angels clients with our annual Client Gift Project. In addition to providing clients with meals, during the holiday season we like to make an extra special effort to guarantee that each of our clients feels connected with the community. Every November we collect gifts for our homebound clients: stationery, pens, CDs, stamps, socks, scarves, ornaments, books, puzzles, toiletries—just about anything you can think of that a person who doesn’t get around much would value. We then wrap the gifts and assemble them in a reusable gift bag—one for each client. This year we anticipate putting together over 150 bags. Sixty percent of our clients are female, and most are 50+ years old. We also serve about a dozen children. So, we can use most every kind of gift. Won’t you help? Our event this year was a great success! Our volunteers assembled 175 gift bags and everyone enjoyed the wonderful lunch prepared by our kitchen crew! Enjoy the photos from this happy event.
